The enviable reputation of Daintee Limited is largely due to the maintenance of high standards in quality and factory hygiene at all times. The three sites are visited regularly by foreign consultants, who advise staff and monitor the performance of every aspect of production. The management of the company has operated under the concept of Quality Management System (QMS) since 2004 in order to maintain a quality culture throughout the company. The company has been awarded the internationally recognised ISO 9001:2008 certificate. The company is hoping to be awarded the internationally recognised ISO 9001:2015 certificate, in recognition of the organisation meeting high quality standards, adhering to applicable regulatory requirements, aiming to enhance customer satisfaction and achieving continual improvement of its performance in pursuit of its objectives.
Daintee Limited has an in-house Quality Assurance Department which carries out chemical analysis, microbiology testing and sensory evaluation on raw materials, in-process products and finished goods. In our chemical analysis laboratory, the following parameters are tested: moisture, pH, sulphated ash, acid insoluble ash, total ash, reducing sugar, total sugar, acidity as anhydrous citric acid and fat content. The company recently invested in a microbiology laboratory which tests raw materials, products and factory surfaces which come into contact with food. State-of-the-art 3M Petrifilm technology, in accordance with AOAC International (Association of Official Analytical Chemists International) protocols, is used for testing raw materials, in-process products and finished products for the following range of micro-organisms: yeast, moulds, aerobic bacteria, coliform bacteria,
Escherichia coli and
Staphylococcus aureus. Factory surfaces are tested for proteins, coliform bacteria,
Escherichia coli and Salmonella. Sensory Evaluation of products includes testing the texture, setting, taste, colour and visual inspection.
