Daintee X-tra Lamatharu

The Daintee X-TRA T.V. programmes are very popular singing contests. The hidden talents of many children, some of whom have made the long journey from remote areas of the island, came to light at the event which was telecast every Sunday at 5 p.m. on TNL. Out of 600 applicants, 68 children were given the opportunity to display their skills on the mini screen. Their capabilities were judged and appreciated in three rounds. Out of them 16 finalists made it to 'The Most Talented' category adjudged by a jury while some emerged in 'The Most Popular' section through SMS votes.
