Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO) is a colourless, cholesterol free, unrefined, non-deodorised and non-hydrogenated healthy product unlike most other fats and oils. The products we supply are non-fermented and no additives are used in the production and thereafter. Our Virgin Coconut Oil is made by cold pressing coconut kernels in a hygienic environment at temperatures below 60°C.
The Virgin Coconut Oil that we supply contains 50% Lauric acid and 6% Capric acid. Both of these fatty acids are found in baby milk and have antimicrobial properties that offer the nursing infants protection from bacteria. Unlike virgin oilve oil, Virgin Coconut oil is heat resistant, making it ideally suited for cooking. Our Virgin Coconut Oil has a long shelf life due to its very low (less than 0.1%) moisture content. Virgin Coconut Oil contains anti-oxidants and is virtually free of unhealthy free fatty acids (which are considered crucial factors for cardiac diseases).
